Finding A Way
Lightening strikes fiercely
as the sun slowly fades away
swallowed by the powerful ocean
at the end of another restless day
A house on the hill waits patiently
with every window burning with light
as a lonely princess sits by the fire
waiting for her armor-clad knight.
A lighthouse beacon shines brightly
as the waves crash against the rocky shore
guiding her passion filled lover
to her open and beckoning door
The dark clouds roll angrily
as a mighty storm begins to brew
her heart is almost breaking
as she searches for hope to cling to.
The thunder roars loudly
as he wishes with all his might
God, please let me get through this rage
so I can get to my beloved tonight
A winding path binds two souls
as he makes his way inside
gently sweeping her into his arms
and whispering ‘your dearest has arrived.’
