Life is coming at me so fast these days that I swear not just losing minutes, I feel like I'm losing days.
The big move will be happening in less than two months and the house isn't even ready for us to move and the old house isn't ready for us to move either. I keep trying to take a deep breath and slow down and try to figure out what should be done first and what needs to be done next and I swear I'm getting no where. It's like the move is getting ready to happen, but nothing else around me is slowing down at all. Baseball is in full swing, my little one is having his second game tonight. Oldest son's teams are just now getting started with practices. I think they start games in a few weeks.
One thing I did do that I usually don't get done on time was the taxes. I originally thought I would file and extension but I figured I might as well bite the bullet, get it all together and get it done. So that's something I won't have to worry about in the near future.
Youngest son had a school project (this is the 4th or 5th one of the year) that's due tomorrow. They had to come up with a board game that had a learning concept and had to make the actual game board and have directions for it. He's 6 years old and got this kind of project. One night weekend before last, I couldn't sleep (not like that's anything usual these days), and came up with the concept of the game. He had already said he wanted to use his miniture cars that he had and do something with racing. So the game we came up with we named "Race to Spelling". Basically there are 4 tracks on the game and each player picks a track and game piece. When it's the 1st players turn, player two picks a card for them and asks them to spell the word on the card. If they spell it correctly, they move up the track the number on the card (words have either a 1, 2 or 3 depending on how hard the word is). If they spell the word wrong, they have to go back that many spaces. Then the next player takes his turn. The 1st person to reach the finish line wins. It really is a cute game. I took it to my mom's the weekend and let my son and nephew play it together and my mom was like "i haven't seen anything on the market like that before". We even came up with ideas on ways to improve it already. Ha Ha...too bad I wouldn't even know where to start to market something like that. It was fun though.
My parents are seriously thinking about moving near us when we get moved. It looks like they may even end up moving way closer than I could have ever expected. (I'm hoping anyway) The house next door to our new house has an elderly couple living there. Unfortunately they have both gone blind within the last couple of months. Within a month of each other. They will have to probably go to assisted living or move in with another relative. That means they will probably sell that house and my husband already talked to them about it. It would actually work out really well. We shall have to wait and see what happens.
My husband and I have our 17th wedding anniversary this coming saturday. 17 years.....seems like a lifetime. There have been many ups and downs. There have been happy times and sad times. I know that things have been rough, but I think and feel that things will continue to get better. We shall see.
(I know i'm rambling, sorry)
Okies, work calls.....be back for more later.
